Pyari, a 40-year-old home-maker and mother of four children lives in Balrampur (UP). She has been diagnosed with low vision, which as a result makes her work at home quite challenging. From sewing clothes and cooking food to visiting the market to fetch daily commodities, her sight prevents her in performing her daily chore.
With limited or no vision centres in the district, she has no other option but to depend on eye camps or charitable eye centres like BN Prasad for vision testing and correction.
Pyari came to know about our charitable eye camp through a leaflet which was published and distributed few days ago. She was happy to see doctors screen her eyesight and offer free medicine. She only wishes that such camps should be held more often so that poor people like her can come and have their vision tested and as a result their daily life can be made much easier.
