Who we are

Mission for Vision is the flagship programme and key initiative of Balrampur Hospital Foundation Balrampur UK, an entity registered with the Registrar of Companies for England and Wales having Registration Number 1127254 and Company Number 6455441. In India, the organization is registered as B.N. Prasad Memorial Social Welfare Society Regn Number 37715 and was established in 2013 in Balrampur with the prime objective to eradicate avoidable blindness amongst the poor and marginalised section of the society in this region.

The district of Balrampur is located in the state of Uttar Pradesh in close proximity to the Nepal border. It has a population of almost 2 million people. The nearest hospital is in Lucknow (state capital of Uttar Pradesh) at a distance of 150Kms. The roads are in deplorable condition thereby making the journey to the hospital most uncomfortable and stressful for patients. This is why the need for a charitable eye hospital is the greatest.

Today, B.N. Prasad Memorial Social Welfare Society offers free of cost treatment to those who suffer from a variety of eye diseases which if not treated on time can cause devastating results like permanent blindness. Free medicines, check-ups, and treatment is offered by some of the best eye surgeons in the country.
